mwcavCard è un mwcqformato di file per i mwcgbiglietti da visita elettronici. I vCard possono essere allegati a messaggi mwcwemail, ma possono essere scambiati anche in altri modi, generalmente su mwdainternet o tra due o più dispositivi mobili tramite mwdqbluetooth, mwdgsms o mwdwmms. Possono contenere informazioni come nome, cognome, mweaindirizzo, numeri di telefono, mweqemail, mwegurl, mwewcompleanno, mwfaimmagini e perfino clip audio. I vCard sono un tipico esempio di mwfgbiglietto elettronico.

Storia

La vCard o mwgqVersitcard fu proposta originariamente nel mwgg1995 dal consorzio Versit, che era composto da mwhaApple, mwhqAT&T Technologies (in seguito mwhgLucent), mwhwIBM e mwiaSiemens. Nel dicembre 1996, il possesso del formato fu passato all'Internet Mail Consortium, una associazione commerciale di compagnie con un interesse nell'email.
